Obama has just been in the news visiting Saudi Arabia, the USA’s ‘staunch and loyal ally’ in the middle-east, where blogger Raif Badawi was recently jailed for 10 years, fined 1 million Saudi Riyal (about $260,000), banned from using any kind of media or traveling until 2034, and sentenced to be lashed publicly 1,000 times with a 7ft bamboo cane after he started a website for social and political debate ..
