Lilies Strange Year by AaronMPhoto

This particular patch of Calla Lilies on the coast in Big Sur has become quite popular amongst photographers. This past weekend, for example, over 20 photographers flocked here on a single day. The place can handle maybe 2 photographers at a time and I can’t imagine dealing with the throngs that showed up. On this particular day I was the only one here!

It was a beautiful 70 degree when Sammi and I drove down to Big Sur, enjoyed the drive, had a few drinks at Nepenthe, and then raced to capture sunset at the flowers. We were having such a good time getting drinks that we lost track of time and had to race around like crazy chickens trying to get setup and snap away. Ultimately it turned out to be an overall great day!
