Time Passes By the Wise Old Oak by j-dub1980(THANK YOU FOR 100k+ Views) This image was really fun making because of how much time was recorded in a single image. I shot a test shot of the scene at 30 seconds shutter speed and high ISO revealing the scene and the position of Polaris in reference to where the tree was. After confirming my composition and making the right calculations i decided to have some fun and let the shutter record the rotation of the night sky around the tree at 100 ISO for 1841 seconds equalling about 30 mins of exposure time. I was pleased with the result after checking the image and after uploading i decided to combine the 2 images in post creating a surreal juxtapositon between a semi static star filled sky and the concentric circular motion of the stars during an extended exposure. This image is the result. It took some technigues and skill in the digital dark room to perfect the aesthetics but i wam quite happy with the way things turned out and its beautiful to see my vision come together in such a way. EnJoy!

PS this Live oak tree is a favorite tree of mine and a very common subject in my night images so it may seem familiar in a few images đŸ™‚
