Fisherman, Fishing Boat & Fuji-san at Sunset; Enoshima, Japan by Alfie | Japanorama A request from a potential client had me dig this one out of the archives this evening. Shot at the end of November 2007, just after we came out to Japan and one week into owning my D300, this is the sunset on Enoshima island, looking towards Mount Fuji. It was blissful evening. The air was cooling but the sky was stunning and that almost airbrushed Fuji-san was the most swesome of sights.

Gullfoss (The Golden Waterfall) is one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland. The water falls 105 feet (32 meters) in two steps into the canyon below. As you approach, you hear the falls before you see the wild, tumbling water as the river valley is a deep, dramatic crevasse. This canyon was created at the end of the Ice Age by catastrophic flood waves and is lengthened by 25 cm a year by the constant erosion.
It´s equally impressive in the winter, covered in ice and snow as it is in the summer
Iceland Interior by Bob Gundersen View along the Kjalvegur (Rt 35); this road across central Iceland had opened for the summer season only a week earlier. Incredible views everywhere, but you need a sturdy 4WD vehicle.
