It’s hard to believe that a scene like this exists North of the 49th in the dead of winter but….well, it does. (Edit* it actually doesn’t, this place is just South of the 49th parallel, yet still in Canada.) This was taken on a recent jaunt out to Vancouver Island, a largely wild and undiscovered place for photography. I love shooting places I’ve never even seen a picture of before. The creative juices flow freely and the potential is limitless. Vancouver Island has almost everything Washington and Oregon have to offer a photographer, minus the convenience of access. Somehow that makes it more appealing to me.
