Sig Nordal

The church of the Holy Cross is situated in the Derbyshire Peak District viilage of Ilam . It is Saxon in origin and contains the shrine to and the remains of Saint Bertram who was an 8th century son of a Mercian King who renounced his Royal Heritage for prayer and meditation after his Wife and Child were killed by Wolves .
