We had been watching the Wood Duck’s enjoying the morning on the pond when I noticed one that was all white or beige in color . It was swimming with a male wood duck and looked very similar in appearance except for the color of the feathers. After doing a little research I realized that I had been looking at a female leucistic duck. She was beautiful and I found it fascinating to see and watch her as she proudly followed her chosen mate.
