This picture is dedicated to my favourite painter Georgia O’Keeffe, who’s art was surely heavily influenced by photography, being the wife of Alfred Stieglitz. I found the effect reversed in me, as I feel highly influenced by her paintings. Especially her take on flowers egged me on to explore macro photography.
I had a hard time choosing a category. It could be fine art as well as abstract, but the source was a stairwell, so I went for city & architecture. The shot was taken in one of the houses at the Mediapark in Cologne.
