Modern Rotterdam II by mihailefter by mihailefter

Rotterdam, the second-largest city in the Netherlands, is often called the “Gateway to Europe”, as it exploited its strategic location near the mouth of the Nieuwe Maas (New Meuse), a channel in the delta formed by the Rhine and Meuse rivers on the North Sea, and became one of the largest ports in the world.

The 802-metre-long Erasmus Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge across the Nieuwe Maas designed by Ben van Berkel and completed in 1996.

The 44-storey office skyscraper complex, Maastoren, is the tallest office building in Rotterdam
