The Holy Stone Bridge by robschueller by robschueller

It is one of the oldest stone bridges in Europe: The Charles Bridge over the Vltava River. Bordered by two towers, it is only open for pedestrians and very busy almost round the clock. A must for every Prague visitor.
The Charles Bridge (Karluv most) connects the districts of Mala Strana and Stare Mesto.
Laid the foundation stone was at one been calculated by astrologers optimal date: On 09 July 1357 at 05:31. Model of the bridge was the Stone Bridge from my hometown Regensburg.
