Beginning of our Iceland winter photo expedition was very successful! After having a very good light on Reynisfjara Beach and other East coast locations we have discovered that Aurora forecast is pretty good for the night. The only problem – sky were covered with heavy clouds. We found out that it will be clear over Jokulsarlon Lagoon (some 170km from our current location) and decided to go for it. It was quite an effort: 340km race on icy roads and several hours of shooting. It was worth it! The show was simply spectacular!
