A Great Blue Heron stayed pretty close to the Wildlife Drive at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in Cambridge Maryland. I asked my father to move the car into just the right spot so I could include a lot of the foreground shrubbery to make for a bit more interesting composition. Without the green on the right it was a lot more reflected water which was quite bright and distracting from the heron. I thought this made it look more like the heron was in its habitat instead of just standing out in the open as it really was.
