Here’s a Milky Way shot we took yesterday morning just outside of Kanab. March is the only time I could make this shot work since the Milky Way gradually moves further west each month. Unfortunately, there were some hazy clouds in the sky that reduced star clarity and added a bit of extra noise. But I had to take the opportunity while I had it! Even though this arch is very close to town, it’s rarely ever visited. It doesn’t look very cool from the road, so you have to hike up there to appreciate it.
