This is the famous Carraig a’ Ráid rope bridge that was built back in 2008. It is thought that there has been a bridge of some sorts spanning from the mainland of County Antrim to Carraig a’ Ráid island for 350 years or more. The first time I crossed it years prior to the current bridge being installed, it was a lot less stable and somewhat dangerous. The bridge is located in a picturesque area of County Antrim that can only be described as breathtakingly beautiful. In the coming days, I’ll be posting more images from Northern Ireland.
