The beautiful Paro Taktsang, also known as Tiger Nest is a sacred monasteries and pilgrimage sites in the Himalaya for Buddhists. Founded in the 8th century by the Tantric saint of Bhutan, Guru Rinpoche, who flew here on the back of a tigress to meditate in order to subdue a demon. Taktsang is located at 3,120 metres overlooking Paro valley.
