Bluebonnet Spring by TatianaPesotskaya by TatianaPesotskaya

Bluebonnets are the pride of Texas. The wildflower season usually lasts from mid-March to May. This year has been a mixture – a very dry and warm winter, then some good rains, which made several regions bloom much earlier. Having spent hours on the road in Texas Hill Country looking for the best locations and flowers, I would call it more of a “paintbrush” season. Needless to say I’m in love with all kinds of wildflowers 🙂 So here is a recent shot from my 2016 Texas wildflowers trip – a warm and fragrant evening in Hill Country. Amazing how these sweet little blues thrive in rocky soil among cacti, prairie grass and other native plants. Thank you for viewing!
