Mont Saint Michel is one of France’s most iconic sights. Perched on a rocky island in a bay between Normandy and Brittany stands this ‘Wonder of the West’, a Gothic-style Benedictine abbey dedicated to the archangel St Michael, and the village that grew up around it. This officially marks off the last of my list of photos I wanted to capture before leaving Europe.
