Nubble Reflection by tony171 by tony171

A stormy finally gave way to the sun at the end fo the day providing great light for not only the iconic Nubble Light House, but also the reflection of the partly cloudy sky in a small pool of water on the rocks. Truth be told, I didn’t stop at Nubble to get this shot. I stopped only because I had 30 minutes before what I hoped was a explosive sunset over York Harbor. But, when I saw this reflection and the light on Nubble, I decided that this is where I needed to shoot on this evening. Good thing too, as sunset turned out to be quite muted.

Fun Fact: the Voyager Spacecraft, which was launched in 1977, and is currently the only man made object in interstellar space, carries with it a picture of Nubble Light. When/if other life forms find Voyager, one of the first images of Earth they will see will be of this iconic New England light house.
