Newfoundland fog lifts by DJLee by DJLee

As the fog subsided, these colorful and cheerful homes, perched on a cliff, were revealed. From my vacation last summer in Newfoundland/Labrador. This image was taken at St. John’s Harbor, near what is known as the narrows. Originally the houses built along the rugged coast by fishermen were painted in bright colors to increase their visibility in the fog.

I will be off 500px for a bit. See you when I return.
