Djúpalónssandur beach by hauxon Beautiful beach Djúpalónssandur is at the end of the Snæfellsnes peninsula in the west of Iceland. To the east towers the peak of Snæfellsjökull glacier and to the west the Atlantic ocean and this scenic beach.
When we arrived at the beach i had been shooting for few hours and I discovered to my horror that my battery had run out and my thee extra batteries were empty! I shomehow assumed the were full and did not check them before driving off.
We spent about an hour there and I was able to squeeze five exposures out of my camera by warming a battery (put it inside my parka) for 10-15 minutes and then quickly turn the camera on an shoot and the the exposure finished before the battery.
