Day 5 c
Glad we arrived, the drive was hard on the eyes, trying to peer through the rain. We are welcomed at the old farmhouse where we will spend the night… by a very kind lady, Solveigh. She even books a restaurant for us in a converted old hospital for the poor, low ceilings, white walls, stone floors. I eat something with smoked salmon, and the best bread ever! The Danish eat early we hear!
Our lodging is between Kerteminde and Nyborg, on the island of Funen
Funen (Fyn) is Denmark’s second largest island, situated between the island of Zealand and mainland Denmark (Jutland).
