So I’m finally getting around to finishing my Rome portfolio and I’ll post the photos over the next week or so. This is the photograph I went there to get.. It’s been shot to the death by photographers all over the globe (my particular inspiration is Elia Locardi ) but I just couldn’t resist. I even had this scene as my wallpaper on my laptop to study it a little more! I got to the bridge about two hours before sunset after spending the previous 5 hours walking the overcrowded streets of Rome … so with the blisters on feet and the lack of quality images on my memory card to justify them … I wasn’t very happy! But then the sun set magically, the lights started to shine and I took this photograph. The image I went there to get. From that point on, Rome grew on me, particularly at night time when the city comes to life and when it’s truly at it’s best.
