This is a classic view of Yosemite, seen after passing through a tunnel cut into rock. There must be millions of images of this spot because most people stop there to gaze at the scene in sheer awe. The view is deeply shadowed in the late afternoon as sunset approaches, but sun, rain, or clouds, it is always breathtaking. This is what I saw during my recent visit there, about an hour before sunset.
