Village in the Mountain by mattdemoraes by mattdemoraes

In Southern Spain there are few more beautiful sights than that of Casares embedded in the mountains. With a population of just 4,000 people and a Moorish style architecture and culture the town boasts a rich history. Apparently Julius Ceasar was cured of a liver complaint due to the sulfuric waters that still pour forth from the springs. The town has been handed back and forth as a prize between the Romans, French, Spanish and Austrians – no doubt because of it’s beauty.
