Chion-in in Kyoto by PAkDocK by PAkDocK

The Sanmon colossal main gate of the Chion-in temple, was built in 1619 and is the largest surviving structure of its kind in Japan. The original temple was built in 1234 by Hōnen’s disciple, Genchi.

It is a great visual impact, when you stand in front of the huge door. You are small, even a door is bigger.
