The unbelievably rich interior on the Basilica de San Juan de Dios, a hidden gem in Granada, Spain – many visits to the city focus on the Alhambra and pass this place by.
While there i browsed some photobooks but didnt see one that made justice to this place; the golden surfaces, artificial lights, wild reflexes and brightness fluctuations make this a particularly tricky shot. I tried to go for the whole punch, with a 12-wide shot combined pano covering some 160 degrees, hence some distortion was inevitable – but i believe its worth the effort of bringing you this dazzling set. The subject complexity makes this one better seen on very large displays (upwards of 30”, i’d say)
