Lake Minnewanka or Water of Spirits can be found in the Banff National Park about 5Km from the town of Banff in Alberta Canada It is fed by the Cascade River and overlooked by the Fairhome Mountain Range. 2 Dams wera constructed in 1912 and 1941 to supply Electric power to Banff the later one raising the water level by 30 metres and submerging the resort of Minnewanka Landing.
