Salginatobel Bridge – Schiers, Grison, Switzelrand by Adrian_Jozefiak by Adrian_Jozefiak

I took this shot flying around the bridge. When you arrive at the scene you get this funny feeling that someone has built an amazing piece of architecture in the forrest in the middle of nowhere. The scenery there is beautiful and I doubt any photo can share the unique feeling you get while on the spot. If you are around, go and visit!

The picture shows the Salginatobel Bridge which (according to wikipedia) “is a reinforced concrete arch bridge designed by Swiss civil engineer Robert Maillart. It was constructed across an alpine valley in Schiers, Switzerland between 1929 and 1930.”

Length: 133m; Width: 3.5m; Height ca. 100m over the ground.
