Laguna Siula by alexstrohl by alexstrohl

Overlooking Laguna Siula and Grangrajanca from the Paso Siula, five days into the Huayhuash Mountains of Peru. This has been the longest trek I’ve ever done and I faced some logistical challenges. Having a reasonably light pack, keeping the batteries full during the cold nights in the tent and carrying just enough camera gear to get the best images possible. I typically shoot large cameras and for this trip, I opted for a lighter setup- a Canon EOS Rebel T6i DSLR with a Canon EF 10-18mm lens and the tiny-but-mighty Canon EF 50mm 1.8 lens. I clipped the camera with the wide-angle to my backpack strap, kept the 50mm in a ziplock on the side pocket and went on.
