I had the privilege of meeting a couple of very cool French guys in San Vicente on Palawan Island in the Philippines. They were all part of an NGO that were helping the local people at Alimanguan fishing village by developing new homes for them and incorporating them into running sustainable tourism to improve their living conditions. The sad part is that this beautiful stretch of beach won’t be undeveloped for much longer.
