Sithean is Gaelic for Faeries, and this little gorge I found made me feel that I was being watched from the shadows.

☼ Сherry blossom season ☼ by John_Jester by John_Jester
In our part of the end of may comes a terrific season! When you go down the street on all sides rushing at you smell the cherry blossoms, its flowers are dotted all the roadsides and it seems that the air is saturated with this scent! Crowds of bees and wasps, drunk from the smell are in the air and it seems that the air is ringing! So begins the summer!

The unreal is more powerful than the real, because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it, because it’s only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. Stone crumbles, wood rots. People, well, they die. But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on. (Chuck Palahniuk)

Some responses to my new Photoshop tutorial (you can get the video here: http://bit.ly/1TsCtWd):
“I watched the entire tutorial, and I learned a lot!!!! I mean a LOT! Previously, for example, I didn’t really understand how to use color channels in Photoshop. Your information was not only useful but GOLDEN. I am going to use many of the skills I learned on my next photos! Everything you said was understandable and well spoken. I also enjoyed the conciseness and clarity of the tutorial — you always stayed on topic, but never went overboard on a single topic. This project was a huge blessing in my photographic career, and I expect a lot more coming in the future! I give it a 10 out of 10!!!!!”

“That was really awesome!! You have so much information in there you could easily break that down into 3 video tutorials”
“I highly recommend it”
“You did an awesome job with your video, I did learn several new concepts and thoroughly enjoyed the video”
“So well explained, so clear workflow”
The image is one of my personal favs from this winter – shot one early January morning.
