AllCast, from renowned developer Koushik Dutta (better known as Koush), allows users to stream personal media, such as movies, photos, and music from mobile devices to Chromecast and other streaming devices.

We’ve covered the application in the past, but it had only been available for Android users. Now, Apple users can rejoice, as AllCast has finally made its way to the iOS App Store as a free download. AllCast for iOS is compatible with the following streaming devices:

When my Nexus 5 received the Lollipop update, one of the first things I noticed was how subtle and quiet the new lock and unlock sounds were. Sure, this is a minor quibble, but it’s also an easy fix.

So I put together a flashable ZIP with the (in my opinion) much cooler lock and unlock sounds from the LG G3. These sounds are a lot more audible, and somehow even seem to fit the overall look and feel of Android 5.0’s new user interface.

A recent update to Google Chrome replaced the colored avatar menu in the top-left (Windows) or top-right (Mac) corner of the browser that let you easily switch from profile to profile with a plain gray button that simply names what profile you’re in.

I use different user profiles to manage my work and personal life in Chrome, and I had gotten very used to looking at the color and shape of the avatar picture as a means of quickly identifying what profile I’m in. Eluding and evading antivirus software and intrusion detection systems is one of the most critical tasks of the hacker. As soon as a new exploit is developed and discovered, the AV and IDS developers build a signature for the attack, which is then likely to be detected and prevented.

As far as wallets go, mine is as full as they come; think something like George Castanza’s overstuffed wallet on Seinfeld. I’ve got receipts, pictures, and tickets jammed inside, but what takes up the bulk of the space are all of the cards—credit, debit, gift, rewards, customer loyalty… I’ve got pretty much any card you can think of squeezed in.
