The typical way of sleeping on Lofoten islands as a tourist are these red cabins called Rorbuer in norwegian. This is definitly the most authentic way to be placed at Lofoten.

Intensely red sunset afterglow permeates low fog, as giant waves recede on the incredible sandstone formations of Oregon’s Cape Kiwanda.

I recently found myself here for about the dozenth time. While similar compositions have been done here before (see Ryan Dyar’s excellent image that initially inspired me to check out this spot a few years back), I’m not going to turn down shooting it again with atmospheric conditions like these coinciding with the proper tides.

Another shot from the evening when Toby Harriman and Michael Shainblum invited me to shoot a sunset on Rodeo Beach. Being stuck with 35mm fix when the guys are there in the water with 16mm, you kinda have to be creative and take it easy with the wide angle and look for a different perspective. It’s been a great light, and an amazing test for a Sigma 35mm Art lens I recently got.
