**Morning Star**

We stopped in at one of my favorite Tahoe beaches at about 5am yesterday. The sun’s light was just coming over the horizon when I shot this. I really like the contrast of the left side representing light lead by the “morning star” (aka Venus) and the right side representing darkness with the Milky Way smack dab in the middle. Kind of like the yin and yang of life. Without darkness there would be no such thing as light and without light there would be no such thing as darkness. Two sides of the same coin. Such is life.

FIRE BUBBLES | Belly of Abraham, Nordegg Alberta

My last sunrise on Abraham lake, we were gifted with this fiery sunrise despite strong wind gust. It is one of the most surreal experience to walk on the lake and see thousands of bubbles in the surface. The three days in Nordegg provided us with the best conditions and light. Another photograph from this summer and the most intense storm I have witnessed. In my original post, Once Upon A Storm, I wanted to convey the totality of the experience and the grand scale that exists in the Southwest. Here I hope to describe a more intimate view of the shear power that existed in each detail.

The ice cave in Breiðarmerkurjökull has shrunk a little, and has a few openings that add more light and change the images completely.
Very beautiful when it has new snow covering everything.

It took many miles of scouting and a gigantic stroke of luck but we finally found a truly otherworldly scene in the vastness of Cottonball Basin coupled with one of the most spectacular sunsets that I’ve ever seen. I want to share an amazing sunset which I was lucky to admire last September near Passo Pordoi, Dolomites.
The rain came down upon me, and a incredible light filtered and struck the walls of the Gran Vernel and the Marmolada, the Queen of the Dolomites.
Take this shoot was not easy, the rain bathed the lens and the cold became pungent because the clothes was completely wet.
Despite the difficulties were very exciting moments.
