Red Light Nights by patch by patch

Another shot from my wanderings around Amsterdam at night. Being there for a conference, I didn’t get too much free time during the day but then the amazing colours and architecture are pretty impressive after hours too. This was taken in the notorious red light district, which was fairly depressing as far as I was concerned.

Kodai-ji temple, Kyoto by PAkDocK by PAkDocK

This prayer wheel is found near the entrance of the Kodaiji Temple in Kyoto. The prayer wheels are Tibetan religious objects often found in Tibet and Nepal, but uncommon in the Japanese Buddhist tradition.

According to the Tibetan tradition, to spin a prayer wheel has the same effect as reciting the prayers.
