After almost 3 weeks of travel we finally got to civilization. Our Kamchatka expedition through wild nature of russian far east finished today. Infinite impressions: functional volcanos, ice caves, wild bears near our camp and much more. Today I am moving to Altai mountains to meet first snow and yellow leaves, still without internet, into the wild again.

I thought I’d work up the horizontal version of this image that I haven’t posted yet (taken a few minutes earlier). I took a visit to this area last fall and it has completely changed since the big floods. All of these neat little pools are pretty much gone now because the river flooded the whole area. I’m glad I was able to shoot it when I did, and hopefully some day it will find it’s way back.
