Have you ever been to the middle of nowhere? Iceland’s Interior Highlands are where man has never made his home and you can travel long distances without seeing another person

Here, nature is still at its rawest, with glaciers, deserts of black sand, barren glacial moraine, steaming hot springs, active and spent volcanoes and strange oases of vegetation, rivers and waterfalls

June last year around 10 pm. Taking a walk along the Reykjavik coastline. Eider ducks taking a nap on a rock maybe like me, waiting for the sunset that will be around midnight. 

I love to be somewhere outside in the bright summer nights and as Reykjavik has a long coastline it´s easy to find a beautiful spot like this to hang around

Fjallabak highland route is a beautiful place to travel. Vast areas of lava and moss in between the mountains. Small green oases, hot springs and rivers, usually unbridged so you have to drive a 4wd jeep but very much worth the effort
