Winter sunsrise – different time, different conditions, different format – different mood. I really like to play around with a place. That is only possible if you live close by and have the chance to go there very often. But this pushs your creativitiy and and strengthen your sense for the moment and the different atmosphere you find on different days. To be able to transfer the mood of the different moments to the viewer is for me the real challenge of nature photography. This is a panorama shot out of several single vertical frames.

She came from an Oktoberfest party down the road to attend the Zombie Walk. Spotted me lifting my DSLR to my eye and she was clearly in two minds as to whether to smile or not.

I walked through the beautifull old town of Stralsund Germany and saw this wonderful old townhall but the light was not perfect so I decided to come back to this place in the evening and so I do. I setup my tripod and the light was perfect now but always some people walk into the frame. I wait a couple of minutes but it was always the same. As the sun goes down I decided to take the shot with that people. And so I call it WALKING SHADOWS
