A deeper view into the Summer( false color) by j-dub1980(THANK YOU FOR 100k+ Views) same image as the previous one posted however this was post processed using a more saturation and a cooler white balance. this has more artistic license in my opinion but it has an aesthetic about it that i couldn’t resist sharing. Which one do you like better and why? I’d love to hear an opinion
In this image you see the summer triangle region of the milky way cropped just above the constellation scutum and the star Altair. the cygnus region of the milky way is striking in this image. You can begin to see the pink colors ot the North American Nebula near the star Deneb. this is a composite of 5 images shot at different lengths of exposure and settings blended together in post processing using a manual stacking process. Dark Passage by j-dub1980(THANK YOU FOR 100k+ Views) There are times when it pays off to roam into the woods at night. I shot this scene last year on a whim after noticing the milky way hovering above. It seemed to be playing hide and seek as it peeked between the live oak trees concealing itself by branches reaching into the horizon. I was quite dark and despite using my headlamp to light the foreground and surrounding trees, i was unable to see more than 20 feet in front of me. Spookiness aside, it was quite worth the heebie jeebies. Enjoy!

Meyer-Womble Star Trails by Mike Berenson – Colorado Captures Mount Evans may be close to Denver’s light pollution, but at 14,000 feet in elevation, the view of the stars above is very clear. In this image, Milky Way stars trail across the sky above the Meyer-Womble Observatory near the top of the mountain…
