Snowy Dog Fight by ChrisStMichael by ChrisStMichael

Totally unexpected. I was taking photos of this one snowy this morning when out from another field the second snowy comes flying across and dive bombs the snowy on the ground. Territorial to say the least.

Rude Bird by Rybirdmusic by Rybirdmusic

Mockingbird turns his back on me when he sees me taking his photo, then moons me. This is where he has the courtesy to be halfway decent. This mockingbird knows me, as he sings every day from the same tree. And if he isn’t singing, I can start whistling and he will start singing, but today he was rude. I don’t know what his problem was yesterday but today he seems fine.

Golden Eagle Portrait I by PedroCunha by PedroCunha

The golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) is one of the best-known birds of prey in the Northern Hemisphere. It is the most widely distributed species of eagle. Like all eagles, it belongs to the family Accipitridae. These birds are dark brown, with lighter golden-brown plumage on their napes. Immature eagles of this species typically have white on the tail and often have white markings on the wings. Golden eagles use their agility and speed combined with powerful feet and massive, sharp talons to snatch up a variety of prey (mainly hares, rabbits, marmots and other ground squirrels)
