Misty Mount Tamalpais State Park by susantaylorphoto by susantaylorphoto

Mount Tamalpais State Park is located near the heart of Marin County along the Bolinas Ridge and California coast. This pretty area is only a few short miles from San Francisco and is a breathtaking sight and experience to be hold during the “golden hour” while the mist and fog comes swirling in. I’ve only had a chance to visit this area a few times during last summer. I enjoyed the steep short hikes up the forested hills onto the Bolinas Ridgeline. It’s fun to wander through the grasses and trees in hopes to find a lovely composition while the light and mist join together through the trees and offer a beautiful scene. This is such an ethereal and peaceful part of the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ll be back!

Here’s another shot of Panther that I took this past spring. I had really intended to snag a shot a lot like Floris Van Breugel’s but the water flow was super high and that just wasn’t going to happen without getting myself and my gear drenched. This was a consolation prize of sorts.
Anyways I just updated my website and threw in a bunch of new work feel free to check it out!

The Quiraing by BillGoodwin1 by BillGoodwin1

Quiraing (in Gaelic, Cuith-Raing) comes from Old Norse Kvi Rand, which means Round Fold. Within the fold is The Table, an elevated plateau hidden amongst the pillars. It is said that the fold was used to conceal cattle from Viking raiders.
