A last greeting from the sun to Barmur, a rhyolite mountain ridge and famous landmark in Landmannalaugar.

The camp in Landmannalaugar is the start/ending point of the famous trek Laugavegur which leads south to Þórsmörk/Skógar. It is a very busy place, but thanks to different hiking trails you can walk out into this fantastic landscape and find peaceful places. Like that one on a former lava stream just a stone’s throw away from the camp. http://flic.kr/p/Bcwknw

Sunny Iceland by monchoparis It was definetely worthy getting up at 4am to catch the sunrise…icebergs coming from Jokulsarlon lagoon are stranded on this incredible beach. One of the most beautiful and tough places I have ever seen.
