Not often I venture out into the forest, but waking up this morning and seeing heavy fog I decided to visit some local woodland in Belmont, just on the outskirts of my hometown; Bolton.

Woodland’s can often be chaotic and finding the right composition can be tricky! I often look for interesting tree’s that stand out from the crowd and trampled paths that help lead the eye. I tend to find that the more ‘picturesque’ tree’s can be found on the edges of the forest, this one tree was pretty much where I began my trail.

I then spent the next two hours wondering around trying to find another tree with some character but it seemed my luck was up. I guess that’s just the way it is a lot of the time and as far as I’m concerned, one image is a success!

During my last trip to Cabras, Sardinia I discovered this amazing place in Torregrande, white sand and Cactus plants everywhere. Beautiful sea as a background. Feels like being in a different era. Not easy to get to (I was riding a scooter), but I am glad of the shots I got. Also, I was testing my new Nikon 18-35, so this seemed like the perfect occasion.
After the shoot I went sunbathing, then back home to an amazing dinner prepared with love by an amazing woman who unfortunately has chosen to leave this world. Will always miss you Assunta x
