The first light of a cold winter day lights up the valley and makes the underside of Mesa Arch glow deep reds.
When the weather is better this place is jammed with photographers, but on this frigid morning I had the place to myself.

I took this shot of a lone tree in the UAE desert in one of the darkest spots there is in this region , almost no light pollution and great conditions for a night out to shoot the milkyway.
