Another release from a winter backpacking trip to Mount Rainier. This has turned out to be my personal favorite from the trip. I’ve been wanting to include sastrugi in a winter/ mountain composition for awhile. After hiking up above the last stand of trees I was greeted by these perfect wavy lines leading right toward the glacier covered crown of Mount Rainier. The trip just kept getting better and better.

Got out and caught a sunrise break in between periods of torrential rain. It was a beautiful and peaceful morning at the Chiang Kai-shek memorial hall as the rain subsided just for a little while.
