Florence, blue hour on the Arno River by fyrcdf by fyrcdf

Returning from dinner, I couldn’t pass this up, blue hour, beautiful reflections and not a breath of air.

Sydney during Vivid by thisismarysharp1 by thisismarysharp1

The annual Vivid festival commenced in Sydney this weekend. The city comes alive with colour. This image was taken from a boat on the harbour whilst jostling with about 100 others for a view, so it’s not the sharpest – just showing off the city 🙂

HOLLAND: of course: WINDMILL… by magdaindigo by magdaindigo

Tour of Europe 04 2016

Day 10 Cornmill ‘DE HOOP”
Hellevoetsluis. In midday light.
We pass the mill again on our way further, we are driving back to Belgium over the islands. An interesting ride!
The weather is with us!!
In 1697, there was a wooden mill on the site where now is the dry dock .
Dirk Jacobsz Goutswaart is mentioned as the first miller .
This mill, at the end of the 18th century, had to make way for the dry dock.
This, the stone mill “De Hoop” built in 1801 .
After this , until the restoration of 1992-1993 are an architect , a goldsmith and various artists used the mill.
Now the miller and partner occupy the ground floor and first floor.
It is still open to the public on week-ends.

Thanx for your visits and comments, M, (*_*)

A flock of sheep on the foreground, and some flamingos in the background at the Natural Park of the Pétrola Lagoons (Albacete, Spain), one of those amazing pure beautiful and bucolic timeless scenes that, fortunately, it is possible to view even these days, just as centuries ago, remaining as a testimony of the ancient and traditional lifestyle of the region.

Zion under the Moonlight by manuel_secher by manuel_secher

One of the best road trip I’ve ever done.
It was full moon that night and it gave impression of an afternoon light, with only the light trail and stars giving up that idea.
