Glendalough (Valle de los dos lagos) es un conjunto monasterial, creado en el siglo VI por San Kevin, continuando su labor hasta 1539. Toda la zona esta rodeada por un cementerio y dominada, por una torre cilíndrica de más de treinta metros.

Se encuentra en las espectaculares Montañas Wicklow, al sur de Dublin. A parte del conjunto en si, es recomendable dar un paseo, hasta los cercanos lagos, que dan nombre a la zona. También es preferible llegar a primera hora, cuando aun hay pocos visitantes y todavía algo de bruma.

One perk of traveling west is that the time change makes it easy to get up early. I walked down to the Embarcadero from my hotel and knew I was in for a spectacular sunrise as soon as the sun started peaking through the clouds. It didn’t last long, but it was one of those spectacular “sky on fire” sunrises that photographers dream of! 1 second exposure at f/11, 19mm.
