Taken in April 2014 on a early morning after a snow storm. Light snow covering the surface of the Tufa at Mono Lake, California. Arriving Lee Vining the evening before, clouds was covering the sky and I was hoping to have some great light in the morning when the sun rising. Woke up in the middle of the night and noticed the night sky was clear. And I was so excited to go back to sleep since it was my 3rd visit to Mono Lake hoping to shoot some starry night sky at the South Tufa.
I quickly grab my camera and started shooting in the early morning, like 3:00AM… This is one of panorama I took with multiple shots. The final stitching was actually much wider than what you see here. But I decided to crop some of the portion out just to keep the framing look right. Or simply better….
