Grey-headed Flying Fox licking water drops from its dripping fur after swooping and dipping its belly in the river. This is how these large bats (wingspan around 1 meter) drink. They usually do this at night when they look for food (mostly nectar) but when it gets very hot around 40 degrees Celsius – they will drink during the day as well. To get this shot I had to stand in the river chest deep in 40 degrees….(-:
