This image was taken early in my architectural photographer career. I was still an assistant and was using free time to put in time behind the view cameras and canons – to start seeing things in a way that elevated the building to the design intent of the architect, in this case Helmut Jahn.
This is the University of Chicago Chiller Plant, truly a forward thinking university to make even the back-of-house buildings part of the landscape of the campus.
